About Emily

As a language learner myself (having studied both Chinese and German), I understand the challenges and triumphs of the journey firsthand. I am passionate about using this experience to help you achieve your goals. I believe language is the key to cultural connection, and I tailor my lessons to suit your needs, whether for casual conversation or intensive study. Let's achieve fluency together!

About the lesson

As someone currently at an advanced proficiency who studied the language completely beginner only four years ago, I am well aware of the best ways to progress in the language in a short amount of time. I firmly believe the best way to learn is through natural speaking practice and character writing repetition. A typical lesson would be around 30 minutes to an hour depending on the client's wishes. I have tutored beginner students at my university previously and have prior experience teaching children in an engaging manner. The lessons can be catered to fit any age and up to intermediate proficiency (HSK 4).
