Find out more about Ehtisham

  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

Technological advancements intrigued me and led me to envisage of becoming an engineer.

It was my dream to be a tutor when I discovered my fondness for problem solving early in life.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I am a mechatronics Engineer by profession (Mechatronics engineering is a combination of Electronics, Mechanical and programming).

Over time, I have moved to learn more about a number of different fields, such as electrical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering and industrial engineering.

I have made Robotic arms and mobile robots. I have also worked on Security systems and home automation systems.

I have worked on PCB designing, 3D modelling/rendering of various technical drawings, Simulation of Power Electronics systems using MATLAB, Antenna designing using microwave office.

I have worked on a couple of microcontrollers, their programming and hardware integration in real systems.

I have also worked on conference and journal papers.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

My role model is the professor who taught me heat transfer. His method of relaying knowledge to students has made him a perfect teacher.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

The most basic requirement of a teacher is to understand the needs, nature and perception of each of his students.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

I have this gift of contemplating and making a mental image in my mind when I solve problems for example one time, I worked on solving problems relating to the illuminance source on a ceiling of a room and tracking it with sensors at different room conditions with various angles. The submission time for this task was just 30 minutes and I solved it by positioning myself in that room and starting solving it with vectors.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

Obtaining real understanding of the concepts at the beginning of my college life was a real challenge for me but with time and a little effort I was able to overcome these challenges.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

My passion is related to engineering. I have always dreamed of having an electronics store where I am able to make exciting projects like RC planes, gliders, cars and boats and a lot more.
  • What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions:-P) ?

I believe the trust that I have on myself makes me Superprof 😊
