About Lilou
My name is Lilou and I'm an undergraduate student studying pre-medicine and psychology in America. I was born in France, grew up in Tahiti, and lived in Paris for 6 years. I moved to the United States for middle school and went back to France to pursue my high school studies where I earned my French Baccalaureate degree. I have a love for teaching, especially languages because I know how complex it is to learn a second language. I've been tutoring French for two years now, I worked with students who were comfortable in the language and also taught elementary students who were doing virtual school during covid.

I'm very flexible when it comes to my lessons. I like to adapt my teaching method from one student to another depending on their preferred way of learning. Everyone learns differently at a different pace! But in order to become truly fluent in a language, listening and speaking is extremely important, so before each lesson, whether you'd like to work on grammar or homework, I want to start with at least 10 min of conversation. Learning french is complex, it can be a little intimidating and I understand that. My lessons are judgment-free zones where you can make mistakes, they are part of the learning process. I like to teach a type of french that is commonly spoken, so you can speak like a true francophone! My lessons are open to anyone who has a love for the language, beginner or expert.
