About Amelie
I’m half British half French. I am currently on my gap year and would love to help those who may be struggling with their French. I achieved a grade 9 at GCSE and an A at A-level and have been speaking French since birth. Having a French dad means that I am continuously practicing my spoken French at home. Since the GCSE curriculum had changed in 2018, I am one of very few students who understand what it takes to succeed at these exams. I did Edexcel French for GCSE and AQA French for A-Level.

I would first assess the ability of the student and ask specifically what they are struggling with. I would then tailor the lessons to their needs. If they are struggling with pronunciation, for example, I would spend time to really work on the sounds that they aren’t quite grasping. If they struggle with understanding what is being asked, I can spend time explaining the task more concisely. Overall it would be a combination of practice questions that they would have to complete prior to the lesson and I would mark in my own time and go through during the call.
