About Caitlin

Hello, I’m Caitlin, a fully qualified primary teacher with over five years of experience teaching across KS1 and KS2. I currently teach within the Scottish Curriculum and have a strong understanding of the English National Curriculum, allowing me to support pupils throughout the UK.

I am passionate about literacy and maths and love helping children build confidence in their reading, writing and number skills. I believe that when children feel supported, understood and encouraged, they are capable of achieving so much more than they realise.

My teaching style is calm, nurturing and structured. I take time to understand each child’s strengths, gaps and learning style so that lessons feel personalised and purposeful. Whether a child needs help closing gaps, preparing for assessments, strengthening core skills or simply rebuilding confidence, I aim to make learning feel positive and achievable.

As both a teacher and a mum, I understand how important it is for parents to feel reassured and informed. I value clear communication and work closely with families to ensure children feel supported both during sessions and beyond.

My goal is simple: to help every child feel capable, confident and proud of their progress.

About the lesson

I’m a fully qualified primary teacher with over five years of classroom experience teaching across KS1 and KS2. I currently teach within the Scottish Curriculum but also have a strong understanding of the English National Curriculum, allowing me to confidently support pupils across the UK.

I specialise in literacy and maths, with particular strengths in reading comprehension, writing development, spelling and grammar, number skills, problem solving and building secure mathematical understanding. I am passionate about helping children not only improve their attainment, but also grow in confidence and enjoyment of learning.

Every child learns differently, and I pride myself on creating personalised, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs. Whether your child needs support to close gaps, targeted intervention, help preparing for assessments, or simply a boost in confidence, I provide structured, calm and encouraging sessions that help children feel safe to try, make mistakes and succeed.

In my classroom career, I have supported a wide range of learners and understand how to break learning down into clear, manageable steps. I use positive reinforcement, clear explanations and practical strategies to ensure children leave each session feeling successful and motivated.

As both a teacher and a mum, I understand how important it is to find someone patient, reliable and nurturing to support your child’s education. I aim to build strong relationships with both pupils and parents, providing regular feedback and clear communication about progress.
