About Max
I am a determined, organised and logical student at the University of Bath, studying for a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics. As an imaginative thinker who takes a visual approach to problem solving, I can give many alternative viewpoints to problems.
I was a tutor during my A Levels to both my peers and younger students. From this experience I learnt how to explain and listen to others in an effective manner.
I have been programming for 8+ years and I am experienced in a variety of programming languages including C, C++ and Java. Some projects I have completed include games, physics simulations, machine learning AIs, mobile apps, physics simulations and much more.

My lessons can range anywhere from a basic introduction to a language and how to use it, through to general programming ideas and techniques, all the way up to a deep dive into language specifics. I like to teach in a way which allows you to apply the skills learnt to any programming language.
From personal experience, I believe that where possible it is much more valuable to understand the underlying reasons as to why something happens or appears over just accepting it for fact. I always try to introduce new ideas by building upon and linking to existing ones. This way we can reduce something down to a collection of more fundemental concepts which you can apply to a larger range of problems.
As a visual learner, I love to incorporate computational visualisations into my tutoring as much as possible so that you can see how something is applied - visualisation is a powerful tool which can help digest a complex idea.
