About Gabriel
- What kind of experience do you have?
At university, I voluntarily tutored A level physics to pupils at Quintin Kynaston Academy, in conjunction with the student organisation Team Up. I did this for 2-6 hours per week for five months and I am happy to say that one of my tutees was offered a position at Imperial College London.
In addition to this, in my last year of university, I was part of a volunteer programme aiming to improve technological literacy in underprivileged schools in third world countries. I taught teachers and pupils how to use digital media in order to enhance their learning through bespoke training and tutorials.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Up-to-date DBS certificate is available.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I received training from Team Up, a student society aiming to help connect students at university with aspiring young adults in underprivileged communities. I worked with Team Up for several months and attended several seminars on tutoring in order to improve my abilities.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I belong to the Imperial College Union and the Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
I have just moved to Oxford, so I am currently building my client base. Some of my previous A level physics students achieved excellent grades (B or higher) and entered Russell Group universities. I am especially proud of one of my students who received an offer from my own university, Imperial College London.
