About Joseph
I thoroughly enjoy teaching what I have learned over my career. I find that passing on knowledge also helps to reaffirm and pressure test what I already know and this is reflected in my classes where all questions, queries and challenges are welcome! Playing games should be fun and it is my belief that if you aren't enjoying making a game, it might not turn out to be enjoyable to play. With this in mind, building games is tough. I will share from my experience how to get around the common pitfalls of 'scope-creep' and scale. I will also show how to keep codebases clean and manageable.

A typical lesson lasts for 1.5 hours. (Tell) - The first 20-30 minutes is a discussion about the concept or subject matter of a given lesson. This gives the student a chance to ask preliminary questions (Show) - The next 30-40 minutes is a short demonstration and explanation & implementation of the code (Do) - The last 30 minutes is when the student actually attempts to complete the code exercise themselves under the supervision of the teacher/lecturer I have over 7 years experience teaching at 3rd level institutions at both BSc and MSc levels. The majority of the time I worked at Griffith College Dublin delivering both in-person and online lectures and labs Lessons are suitable for adults (18 and over) Looking forward to speaking with you!
