About Ali
Hi, I’m Ali!
My passion for tutoring comes from my own experience as a student. When I was younger, I had a tutor who completely changed the way I approached learning. They helped me build confidence, understand difficult concepts, and ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in science. Without that support, I don’t think I would be where I am today.
That experience is why I enjoy helping others. I believe education has the power to open doors, and I love seeing students develop confidence as they begin to understand topics that once seemed difficult.
I currently work as an NHS Genetic Technologist and hold a First-Class Master’s degree in Medical Genomics, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. Every day I apply biology in a real clinical setting, which allows me to bring practical insight and enthusiasm into my teaching.
My aim isn’t just to help students pass their exams—it’s to help them truly understand biology, build confidence, and realise that science can be interesting and enjoyable. Whether you’re looking to improve your grades, prepare for GCSE exams, or simply gain a better understanding of the subject, I’ll provide patient, supportive lessons tailored to your individual needs.

I am an NHS Genetic Technologist with a First-Class Master’s degree in Medical Genomics and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. My work involves applying biology and genetics every day in a clinical laboratory, giving me real-world experience that I bring into my lessons.
My teaching style is relaxed, supportive, and tailored to each student. We’ll identify the topics you find most challenging and work through them step by step using clear explanations, exam-style questions, and effective revision techniques. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt each lesson to suit your pace and learning style.
