About OLAIDE
I am a dedicated and experienced Physics and Science teacher with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed. I hold a BSc and MSc in Physics and have completed a PGCE with QTS in Secondary Physics, alongside over 15 years of teaching experience across different curricula including GCSE, IGCSE, WAEC and A-Level.
Over the years, I have supported a wide range of students with different abilities, helping them to build confidence, close knowledge gaps and achieve their target grades. My teaching is calm, structured and supportive, with a clear focus on understanding rather than memorisation.
I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance and approach. I take time to understand each learner’s strengths and challenges, adapting my explanations and practice to suit their individual needs. My goal is not only to improve exam performance but also to develop long-term confidence and independent thinking in Science.

My tutoring approach is well-structured, supportive and exam focused, with an emphasis on building both confidence and deep understanding.
1. Teaching techniques and methodology
I begin by identifying gaps in understanding and tailoring each lesson to the student’s needs. Lessons typically include clear explanations of key concepts, worked examples, guided practice, and independent exam-style questions. I use retrieval practice, questioning, and regular recap of prior learning to strengthen long-term memory. Where appropriate, I also focus on exam technique, including how to interpret questions, show working clearly, and maximise marks.
2. Typical lesson length
Most lessons are 60 minutes, although 90-minute sessions are available for more intensive revision or A-Level support.
3. Qualifications and experience
I am a qualified teacher with PGCE and QTS in Secondary Physics, holding both an MSc and BSc in Physics. I have over 15 years of teaching experience across GCSE, IGCSE, WAEC and A-Level, with a strong track record of helping students improve their grades and confidence in Maths, Physics and Science.
4. Lesson levels and audience
My lessons are suitable for KS3 (ages 11–14), GCSE, and A-Level students, mainly in Physics and Science. All sessions are delivered online and tailored to individual learning goals, whether that is improving understanding, catching up, or aiming for top grades.
