About Antje
I am a German native speaker who has lived in the UK for nearly 30 years and in Denmark for three years. I love travelling and getting to know different cultures and have therefore always enjoyed learning languages. Before qualifying as a teacher I also used my languages in other professional settings for example desktop publishing and video production. Learning languages gives you a broader view of the world and it is life enhancing.

I teach one hour lessons for all levels and ages. I will start each lesson by answering your questions or looking at any work you would like to have checked. I will then focus on any specific difficulties, practising all four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). I have an MPhil (Magister Artium) in German language and literature from Hamburg University and a PGCE (Secondary Modern Languages) from Sussex University. I have taught German from KS3 to KS5 in a variety of schools for 21 years and have successfully conducted out of lesson interventions for students who did not progress according to expectations. In addition to my teaching experience, I also have a lot of experience learning foreign languages (English, Latin, French, Spanish and Danish). I therefore understand the process of learning a foreign language well and am able to give advice on learning skills.
