About Mia
My name is Mia and I am a year 10 student who is achieving grade 9s in English literature and language papers. I am understanding and passionate about helping your child (under 12 years of age) to make progress in their English education. I find it is less intimidating to have a young adult helping you as it makes your child feel more comfortable and safe. I am still in school therefore I understand how frustrating English can be; the idea that it is a lot more open for interpretation rather than academic subjects that are more fixed. If you or your child (below 12 years of age) struggles with English or are looking to become more advanced in the subject, I can majorly help you improve. In the average lesson we will talk about what they are learning currently and target their struggles; this is along with working on skills such as reading and writing methods, grammar and punctuation and using more high-level description.
