About Jaheem
Hello Student, My name is Jaheem and I ensure you that developing your knowledge on the chosen subject will be my prime motivation during our session.
Even in times where you may feel as if the knowledge isn't remaining within your memory or you feel that you cannot understand even after I have explained never feel afraid or frightened to ask me to explain again as the advancing of your knowledge and your wellbeing is the only thing that matters in these sessions.
If you feel as if I am going too fast or want to ask my alternative questions you are obliged to as it will allow me to develop our lessons so that they are much more personal to you, so that you are much more comfortable in the space; can truly understand what has just been taught to you. This is because, if you are not feeling comfortable the best learning will not commence as you may be trying to direct your attention to getting more comfortable rather than truly listening, ergo I will strive to create an environment where you are the most comfortable.

My personal technique for teaching roots in making the experience enjoyable and relatable to the student, as through my psychology background I know that having aspects of your learning that is easily relatable will allow the student to retain that information much more manageable. Thus, before we start the standardised teaching I may ask the student what are their interests and hobbies so that they feel much more comfortable and so whilst I'm teaching I can make links to their personal life so that the information is much easier to comprehend and more importantly carry with them into real-life situations.
My typical length of the lesson will span from 1 hour to 2 hours as I know that after an hour a child's focus and attention start to fall thus, to ensure that the teaching is optimal the lesson must not exceed two hours.
My qualifications as a tutor mostly stem from my psychological background and the fact that I have tutored unofficially before for a student who was failing Maths GCSE, thus I am quite clear with the essential aspects of tutoring needed for your child to succeed. In addition to this, in my past during my secondary school span, I was a learning leader once I was in year 11, meaning that I was assigned students from year 7 who were struggling with subjects such as Maths and English and give them that extra help.
Furthermore, I help my younger sister who is 9 years old every day with both her maths and English work.
My lessons can range from students who are in primary school all the way to year 11 as I have the flexibility and knowledge to adapt my teaching in anyone in these age groups[ages 5-16, SATs-GCSEs]
