About Siobhan
My name is Siobhan, I have been playing the piano for roughly eighteen years.
From the age of seven, my teacher instilled confidence in my ability to not only read music, but also to trust my ear and figure out melodies by myself; I want to instil the exact same confidence in you.
We have melodies playing in our head all the time, and these can translate to the piano with a few techniques and some music theory.
I've had the privilege to play alongside other musicians and perform solo while getting my level 3 diploma in music performance, for which I received a distinction, two things I never imagined at aged seven.
Every pianist has a different style, an individuality, and we will figure out, together, how you will express yours.
I've taught multiple students successfully, from age 5 upwards, who excel in reading music and playing by ear.
