About Sofia
I am a student at QMUL studying Computer Science with Management. Yes, I know, where's the language experience though? Both my passion and my ability to communicate confidently in the subject rewarded me with a grade A* in my iGCSE Spanish and recently an A in my A Level. Studying a language in the classroom is one thing but being immersed in the culture is another. I spent Easter 2016 in Málaga, lodging with a Spanish host family whilst taking classes at a local 'colegio'. This experience enlightened me to the beautiful culture of the Hispanic world and I will forever continue to speak the language, so as to maintain a strong bond with my passion for Spanish.

Having taught Spanish to Year 3 students at a local primary school, I have familiarised myself with how different students' minds work; for instance, there were auditory learners, with whom I taught through conversational classes; visual learners, whereby I used images to help make links between vocabulary; and many more. One of my most favourable traits is my ability to make the student feel comfortable; before all classes, we will have a casual conversation about our week before gradually working towards our objective for the session. My promise to you is to support your education in a fun and interactive way.
