About Silvia
I have been a tutor on and off for almost 10 years. I have also taught a few group classes for a couple of months.
I have a degree in English Language and I am also TESOL qualified to teach English as a second language everywhere in the world.
The most recent students I had where foreign people coming to live in the UK: they need the basic level of English in order to be able to work and live here.
I was also a tutor for teenagers in high school to help them getting better marks and pass their finals (they have all passed showing a great improvement within months!) - it is the best feeling to get a call from a happy student telling you they have passed.
Again, I think that what gives me extra experience is the fact that I have studied many languages myself!

I have been living in the UK for almost 5 years now and I have been studying English for 22! As a teacher, I can understand all the difficulties and issues that you might face while learning (or improving) a language.
I prefer one-to-one lessons as I strongly believe that every person learns in different ways and at different paces: the lessons are not about me, are ALL ABOUT YOU. I want to tailor each lesson to you and I want it to be flexible to your needs.
Ideally, I would try to assess your level of English within the first lesson and from there, I would provide suggestions on what we should work on and ask you what you want to achieve. From there, I would create a lesson plan, however I also want you to feel free to tell me what you feel like to study at any time.
I have learned 4 languages in my life, but English is absolutely my favourite and I will work hard to pass my passion onto you!
