About Amy
I am a friendly and approachable individual, who aspires to build her future students to build their own confidence and ability, whilst still enjoying themselves in lessons. I will adapt and approach lessons in ways that build connections and links for students, making it better suited for them. I want to build an open and professional relationship with students so that they feel comfortable with me as we build on their own independence and ability.

I teach secondary level, using techniques such as scaffolding and low-stakes quizzing. I will use a step-by-step progress system to see prior knowledge, build basic knowledge, build onto that knowledge, expand and explore in more detail to build a greater understanding, therefore increasing the quality of responses. I do not want to move through these steps without a thorough understanding. I will input support throughout my tutoring to ensure a comprehensive understanding. I typically teach within my school setting for an hour; however, I am willing to extend. I have a BA Honours degree in English Literature with Creative Writing. I also trained to teach within a secondary school in order to receive my QTS. Meaning I have taught in schools prior to tutoring. My lessons are typically for KS3-KS4.
