About Gaël
I taught French and French History to Syrians and Iraqis refugees in Paris. I also gave lessons (French/History/Politics) to younger pupils when I was in secondary school. Currently reading Theology in Durham I give French lessons to friends of mine.

In French lesson, I would say that the primary thing is to raise your interest by working on areas you are interested in. Learning a new language should be anything but boring. There is of course a need for fundamental grammar rules (sentence construction, finding verbs and subjects...), but the most important thing is to work intelligently; that is focusing on what you know instead of being stuck on what you don't know. I believe my own experience in English and German to be of great help to understand this.
