About Ben
I have enjoyed reading since primary school, as well as being a keen cinema goer. After achieving a high grade in GCSE English, I went on to study the subject at A level. I was able to combine both of my passions by studying English and Film at Birmingham University, achieving a First Class Honours Degree. I secured an internship in New York City where I worked as a script analyst, which further honed my analytical and communication skills.
I have always enjoyed helping and encouraging others to appreciate literature, culture and writing. I was a peer mentor at university and write stories in my free time.

I am keen to discuss and assess each student’s learning style to understand what type of approach works best for them. Through questioning and discussion, I aim to establish which aspects of their subject the student is most keen to work on. I will develop a study programme which will be adapted as appropriate, in accordance with needs identified through the learning journey. I aim to be flexible so that students’ needs are recognised and catered to.
