About Ellie
Hi! I’m Ellie, a 16-year-old English Literature tutor with a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
English Literature has always been the subject I enjoy the most, and it’s the area I specialise in. I love exploring characters, themes, poetry, and essay writing, and I enjoy breaking down difficult ideas into simple explanations that are easy to understand.
One of the main reasons I want to teach is because I know what it’s like to struggle in a school environment. I found school challenging for a variety of reasons, and I often felt like I had to figure things out on my own. Because of that experience, I understand how frustrating it can be when lessons move too quickly or when you don’t feel confident asking for help.
Those experiences have made me a patient, understanding, and encouraging tutor. I want every student I work with to feel supported, listened to, and capable of achieving more than they thought possible. I believe that with the right guidance and techniques, every student can improve their confidence and reach their potential.
My goal is to help students not only understand English Literature but also enjoy it. Whether you’re aiming to pass your GCSEs or hoping to achieve the highest grades possible, I’ll work with you every step of the way, helping you develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing someone grow in confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve the best grades they possibly can. If I can make even one student’s journey through English Literature easier than mine was, then I’ll know I’ve made a difference
