About Becca
I've been tutoring since I was in high school and in 2019 I spent six months teaching English at an international school in India. I have also been working part-time as a GCSE tutor for the past year alongside my master's degree. I am working towards a career as a university lecturer so I am invested in improving my teaching skills and highly enthusiastic about and skilled in my subject area. I have an enhanced DBS check.

I'm a master's student with a first-class degree in English Literature and Film Studies. I have several years of experience teaching English and a year's experience teaching the GCSE English Literature and Language syllabus. I offer tutoring at GCSE level as well as help with personal statements and essay writing.
A lesson typically lasts one hour and I will begin by identifying your needs, interests, and goals. I typically focus on close analysis of set texts, essay writing, spelling and grammar, and exam technique. I seek to provide detailed and personal feedback that is hard to acquire in most classrooms.
