About Ruby
Hi! I'm Ruby, an acting tutor from Alice Springs, Australia. I love acting, and helping people find their passion through it. Everyone learns differently, I am a patient and understanding tutor, who will work with you to find the approach best suited to how you think. Acting is a form of conversation and human interaction, and with my help, we can take your acting from good, to great! You don't need to have any experience, I'm here to help you :)

Acting is a very personal thing to learn, and I think it is important to create an environment where my students feel comfortable to be vulnerable and put themselves out there. Everyone learns differently, I aim to learn my students' learning styles, and tailor my methods to them. I use a mixture of traditional and contemporary acting techniques, from transitive verbs to improvisational character work. Lessons will generally last 1 to 2 hours, generally focusing on either a script/speech the student is currently working on, or exercises to focus their technique. I have a B.A in Theatre and Performance, Acting Intensive Major, from UOW. I am comfortable teaching students from 11 to 19, with different approaches for different ages :) Beginners to Experienced actors are welcome.
