About Samson
As a Tigrigna tutor, I strive to create a professional, respectful, and welcoming learning environment for every student. I am patient and attentive to each student’s individual learning needs, and I make an effort to explain the language in a simple and understandable way. I take my responsibility as a tutor seriously by being punctual, prepared, organized, and consistent in my lessons. Beyond teaching vocabulary and grammar, I aim to help students develop confidence in speaking Tigrigna and gain a deeper appreciation for the culture and traditions connected to the language. My goal is to ensure that every student feels encouraged, supported, and motivated throughout their learning journey.

Learning Tigrinya is important because it helps a person stay connected to their family, culture, history, and identity. It allows you to communicate more deeply with parents, grandparents, relatives, and others who speak the language, while also helping preserve traditions, stories, songs, proverbs, and cultural expressions that can be difficult to fully translate into English. For those connected to the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, learning Tigrinya can also deepen their understanding of hymns, prayers, teachings, and the traditions of the Church. Most importantly, learning the language helps prevent it from being lost between generations. Even if English is enough for everyday life, learning Tigrinya gives you a connection to your heritage that English cannot replace.
