About Chris
I believe every student is capable of becoming a confident and thoughtful musician with the right guidance. As your tutor, I’ll meet you where you are, explain concepts in ways that make sense to you, and connect music theory to real music-making. My goal is not only to help you succeed academically, but to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for music.

With degrees in music performance and music education from Oregon State University and Northwestern University, I bring both practical musicianship and academic experience to music theory tutoring. I aim to make theory approachable, connect concepts to real music, and help students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
