About Laurie
My name is Laurie and I've just recently returned from Spain after 2 years teaching English to children in a primary school near Valencia. The experience was incredible and I think teaching is for me, so in the coming academic year I will likely get my PGCE and continue down this career path. I have a degree in Spanish and Translation from the University of East Anglia, which included a year abroad in Zaragoza, further strengthening my conversational Spanish. In short, I know the language well both grammatically and in practice, and also have experience teaching, entonces vamos, ven y aprende con Laurie!

After spending 2 years both teaching in a primary school and privately tutoring near Valencia, Spain, I have come to learn that the needs of each student are different and therefore lessons need to be tailored individually to each person. I have a good level of Spanish and can focus on whichever aspect you struggle with most or wish to learn more about, be that speaking, reading, writing or listening. We'll make sure to discuss your goals and then lesson plans can go from there in order to achieve them.
