About Dashiell
I am a graduate student doing his master's at the University of British Columbia, specializing in geography, environmental science, and data analysis. My academic work focuses on snow hydrology and environmental modeling, where I regularly work with real-world datasets using R, GIS, and statistical tools. Through my research and coursework, I have developed strong skills in coding, data visualization, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving.

I take a practical, problem-solving approach to tutoring. My goal is not just to help students complete assignments, but to make sure they understand the concepts well enough to apply them independently. I specialize in R programming, GIS, environmental data analysis, and statistics for university students.
A typical lesson starts by identifying exactly where you’re stuck. We then break the problem into clear, manageable steps. By the end of the session, you’ll not only have progress on your work but also a clearer understanding of the material.
