About Grace
My name is Grace Palmer and I am a recent graduate of Art History from the University of St Andrews. Having been in the education system for most of my life, I truly empathise with the challenge and stress of exams, essays and everything else in between. Having not had any tutoring myself during my education, I truly wish I had the chance to have someone supporting me through those subjects and topics I struggled with. I am deeply passionate about my subject areas, undertaking humanities research for the past 4 years at an undergraduate level. I aim to ensure that each of my lessons is driven by this passion, so that you may take enjoyment out of learning, rather than seeing it as a chore. In those areas where you may feel uncertain, or subjects where you want a little support, my role will always be to guide you in finding greater confidence in your abilities.

My lessons focus on the student's needs, rather than following strict curriculum structures. Between 1 to 2-hour sessions, my classes take a diverse approach to tutoring; incorporating both taught and activity-based components. Each class would combine new subject areas, whilst consolidating the previous week's lesson, often having my students undertake small, useful take-home work. Having tutored students at university and teaching my younger sister during the lockdown, I have a strong understanding of the best methods of ensuring that my teaching is both informative and engaging for the students. My subject area and teaching style are best suited for A-Level (equivalent) students, but students in their final year of GCSE are also suitable.
