About Laura

As a graduate with a degree in medical sciences and postgraduate training as a physician associate, I'm passionate about all aspects of human biology. Alongside my academic pursuits, I've enjoyed the privilege of working in aviation and medical repatriation. A common theme that has cropped up throughout my career is how much I love training and developing others. Now, I am taking that passion and using it to teach biology.

About the lesson

Hello! I'm Laura, and I'm eager to guide you through the enthralling realm of biology.

Armed with a degree in medical sciences and postgraduate training as a physician associate, I possess a solid academic foundation that seamlessly merges the expansive facets of biology with its practical applications in the medical world. My lessons are tailored for students at the KS3 and KS4 levels, with a particular emphasis on human biology.

I'm a firm believer that to truly grasp biology, one must visualise, discuss, and question. Hence, my classes go beyond mere passive listening, fostering an environment of active engagement and in-depth discussions. I adapt my teaching methods to align with each student's learning pace, ensuring a thorough understanding of the concepts.

Drawing from my expertise in medical sciences, I offer students a tangible insight into how the biological theories they study come alive in real-world scenarios. This connection not only deepens their understanding but also enhances retention and promotes better learning outcomes.
