About Lucas
I am in love with science in general, and I love to share this passion with those around me. This is why I like to explain and find ways to convey the beauty and the fun that can be hidden in the world of school science. In addition, having always been a good student, I spent a lot of time in my schooling helping and explaining the lessons to my classmates, which gave me a good ability to explain and popularize concepts + - complex to various audiences.
Recently, I have also spent a lot of time explaining my work as an artificial intelligence engineer to an audience with no deep math and computer skills. This reinforced my tendency to look for the right images, the right formulations to make my interlocutors understand new concepts.
From a professional point of view, being on the way to a career in public research, I will have to give lessons to students in the coming years. Teaching on this platform is therefore a very enriching experience.
Finally from a personal point of view, I am a calm and patient person, and I will not hesitate to invest time to make sure that a course is understood and remembered.

I am convinced that real learning comes through an understanding of the underlying mechanisms and principles in a lesson, rather than rote learning. Rather, I offer courses in two formats (depending on the subject and / or the subject):
- An explanation at first to try to make the course understood, followed by a questioning secondly, to check that the concept is well established. Because, as one of my teachers said: What is understood well is clearly stated.
- Or in the case of math or physics / chemistry exercises, a demonstration on how to complete a typical exercise in a first, then secondly, a step-by-step follow-up by letting the student take initiatives alone as much as possible.
In both cases, if there are several courses, a quick query will be made at the start of the next course to ensure that the concepts learned are still anchored.
Furthermore, not having not a very good memory, I learned during my schooling to identify the key points of a lesson in order to focus on them, and I think I can skip these "tips" to help students having difficulties to retain their lessons, at- beyond comprehension problems.
The courses are rather refresher courses during the summer, and are intended for students ranging from college to high school, for scientific subjects.
