About Tom

While I was studying, I felt like I had a particular knack for pulling out the key concepts and case law in an efficient way that helped streamline my exam preparation - right from the start of the GDL and LPC. I helped others use my techniques to succeed. On qualification, I have enjoyed mentoring paralegals and junior solicitors, both practically and academically.

About the lesson

My professional and academic experience speaks for itself. Whether it is short term exam prep, longer term academic support or more focused issue by issue guidance, I take a practical approach to explaining key concepts, learning techniques and exam preparation. My focus is always on streamlining studies for efficiency in gaining maximum results. I am flexible when it comes to lesson times and duration.

I had the chance to work with Tom when he was my manager and I learned a lot from him. He’s great at breaking down complex legal concepts and explaining them in a way that’s easy to understand. Tom is patient, friendly and has an excellent knowledge of the law. I would recommend him to anyone looking for help.

Tom was my manager for over three years when we worked together as solicitors at a law firm. From the very beginning of my legal journey as a newly-qualified solicitor, he concentrated on my learning and development. Through his invaluable teaching, I progressed much quicker than I had ever expected to. He is a great teacher, a skilled lawyer and his knowledge is second to none. I don’t feel that I would be where I would be today without his brilliant teaching skills – he was always more of a mentor than a manager to me. I highly recommend Tom.

Tom is an excellent teacher, he was my manager for many years and helped me through my job as a paralegal and to pass my LPC. I couldn’t have done it or got to where I am now without him. The way he explains topics is different to anyone I know, he has patience and an understanding for people as well as great knowledge. I would recommend Tom to anyone looking for a tutor.
