About Federico

26 years old, from the Marches, at the third degree, singer-songwriter and with different work experiences.
During my adolescence, I always found myself wrong with the hierarchical and top-down teaching of high school. When I went to Maastricht, Holland to do the University (Arts and Culture - Political Culture) I discovered that you can teach by letting the student learn for himself and become as autonomous as possible, leaving him / her responsibilities and trust. This possibility allowed me to grow faster and have a lot more fun in the studio. Furthermore, having received an interdisciplinary teaching, I have become accustomed to addressing every theme or question of study or research starting from multiple points of view and methods, thus expanding my possibilities of thinking, learning and teaching. I then obtained a master's degree (Philosophy) at King's College London, further enriching my baggage of experience in teaching thanks to the possibility of carrying out lessons organized by us students. I also had a study experience at the Universidad de Valencia in Spain and am now busy with a second master (Global Cultures) at the University of Bologna.
In all these years I have developed the conviction that the obstacle in learning a subject is the way it is taught. It is not the student / ssa who must submit to teaching, but it is the teaching that must dialogue with the student / ssa.

In short:

• The typical lesson takes place starting from a specific exercise or problem, from which a more general method for dealing with the subject is extracted.
• Teaching is based on using quality and the interests of the student / ssa external to the subject. The subject will therefore be seen from a new but familiar perspective to the student / ssa.
• I do not impose a rigid and top-down method, but I allow the student / ssa to find for himself the most stimulating and effective way to face the matter. I offer an inter-disciplinary and creative perspective of study and research. The goal is to make the student / ssa autonomous.
• It is aimed at all levels, from middle school to university, passing through high school.
• All humanities subjects, English and Spanish. Lessons can be held in Italian, English or Spanish according to the preferences or needs of the student / ssa.

The methodology is divided into two fundamental points.

1) The lesson starts from the knowledge of the passions, hobbies and qualities of the student / ssa. The approach to the subject in question is then portrayed using a perspective close to the student / ssa that enhances his or her qualities. Example: Student of International Sciences taking a United States History exam. In her spare time, the student loves reading novels but is bored by the study of history as a set of dates and facts told in a mysterious way. The student begins to see history as a conglomerate of novels and sub-novels, and develops a historiographical and critical sense by looking at history as a literary enterprise with specific interests and various narrative possibilities.
Fundamental that the student is not affected by barriers with the teacher and who frees himself from the hierarchical and top-down preconceptions typical of traditional teaching. The role of the teacher is to help the student / ssa to develop their own and personal way of approaching the subject.

2) The general study of a program or exam is proposed through the deepening of a particular theme of the subject in question, in such a way that by addressing a specific problem a general method is obtained for the approach of a matter. Example: to study a philosophy, we start from the analysis of a particular paragraph of a specific philosopher. Once understood how to deal with the analysis of this paragraph in a comprehensive and profound way, a general method is developed that can be applied autonomously to any philosophical text.

The proposed methodology is developed through an interdisciplinary perspective: each problem of a particular discipline is addressed using ideas, methods and perspectives of other disciplines so as to expand the possibilities of solving the problem by also expanding the creative and methodological resources of the student / ssa (eg: study of history through the critical-literary methodology).

It is aimed at all levels, from middle school to university, passing through high school.
