About Andrew

I taught high school mathematics, from freshman algebra all the way to AP calculus before moving into administration. There I’ve seen other people in various positions trying to close the gaps in mathematics understanding. Many times they’ve asked my opinion and advice concerning different methods, and my view is always the same, no one way is the perfect solution. Each student needs to be understood in the way that they can grasp different concepts.

About the lesson

I believe everyone can do math, and the reason so many people say “I’m not good at math” is because somewhere along the way they were not shown a concept in a way that made sense to them, and because the teacher didn’t understand how to meet them where they were at, they got left behind. I will try to meet you where you are, and together we will try and figure out how math will make sense to you.
