About Sami
I'm Sami — a Law student at the Lahore University of
Management Sciences, where I've been placed on the Dean's
Honor List for academic distinction. Before university,
I received academic awards consistently throughout my
school and college years, which reflects the kind of
standards I hold myself to — and bring into every
tutoring session.
I scored 1500 on the SAT, placing me in the top few percent
of test takers globally. That score isn't something I
mention to impress — I mention it because it tells you
something real about how I think, how I approach exams,
and the level of analytical rigor I bring when I'm
preparing a student for a high-stakes test.
I've been tutoring for over three years, specializing in
11+ grammar school admissions preparation. In that time
I've worked with students across both GL Assessment and
CEM exam formats, and I've supported families through the
full admissions journey — from the very first diagnostic
session right through to results day. Students I've worked
with have gone on to receive grammar school offers, improved
their mock scores significantly, and walked into exam day
genuinely prepared rather than just hopeful.
Beyond academic tutoring, I'm also a trained declamation
coach with a national competitive background — which means
I'm particularly well placed to help students with the
interview and assessment components that some grammar
schools include in their admissions process.
I work with students and families professionally,
punctually, and with complete transparency. Parents receive
regular updates on their child's progress, and I'm always
reachable between sessions for questions. I take the trust
families place in me seriously, and I work hard to make
sure it's well placed.

Every student I work with is different, and that's exactly
how I treat them. Before anything else, I run a proper
diagnostic session — not a quick quiz, but a real
conversation and a worked set of questions that helps me
understand how your child thinks, where they're confident,
and where they quietly struggle. That first session shapes
everything that follows.
My lessons are structured but never rigid. A typical session
starts with a short recap of what we covered last time —
I want to make sure things have actually stuck, not just
been understood in the moment. Then we move into the main
focus for that session, whether that's a specific Verbal
Reasoning question type, a Non-Verbal Reasoning pattern,
a Maths topic, or an English comprehension technique. I
explain the concept, we work through examples together,
and then the student attempts questions independently while
I observe their reasoning — not just their answers. The
last few minutes are always a quick summary and a short
task to try before the next session.
What sets my approach apart is the mock exam cycle. Every
three to four weeks, I put students through a full timed
paper under proper exam conditions. Afterwards, I go
through every question they got wrong, and we work out
the why — was it a concept gap, a rushed read, a time
pressure mistake? That kind of honest analysis is what
actually moves scores. I also send parents a short written
summary after each mock showing progress, weak areas, and
the plan going forward.
My lessons are primarily designed for students in Years 4,
5, and 6 preparing for the 11+ grammar school entrance
exam — covering both GL Assessment and CEM formats across
all four subject areas: Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal
Reasoning, Mathematics, and English. I also work with
students on KS2 and KS3 Maths and English, and I offer
interview preparation for students who have been invited
to grammar school assessment days.
I also work with international families — particularly
those based in the UAE and wider Middle East — whose
children are preparing to enter the UK school system.
Online sessions work just as well as in-person for 11+
prep, and I've structured my availability specifically
around UK school hours so that sessions fit naturally
into your child's day.
