About Idongesit

My name is Idongesit Edet,I'm a final year student of English department in the University of Uyo, AkwaibomState, Nigeria. I love to teach because education is part of me and I want to help educate other people too. It also gives me the platform to learn more also and be better.

About the lesson

I would love to talk on semantics. Semantics is associated with meaning, how listeners are able to decode the meaning of words or a sentence, for instance the word "sweet" might mean a different thing to a poet than the ordinary way of saying it.
So here, we find out that meaning is elusive, it is not static. We can draw the conclusion that meaning changes in each context that it is being used and the study of these meaning in these different contexts is known as Semantics
