About Edward Ferguson
Hi, I’m Edd — a patient, creative tutor with a calm and supportive approach. I’ve been playing guitar for 20+ years and love helping others discover the joy of music, whether they’re just starting out or looking to develop their skills further. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I adapt each lesson to the individual — whether that means breaking things down step by step, focusing on songs you love, or exploring your own creativity. I’m especially experienced in working with beginners, and I aim to make learning feel relaxed, achievable, and enjoyable.

Patient, Creative Guitar Tutor — All Ages & Abilities Welcome! Hi, I’m Edd, and I offer relaxed, encouraging guitar lessons tailored to your goals — whether you’re a complete beginner picking up the instrument for the first time, or you’re looking to improve your technique, learn your favourite songs, or explore songwriting. I teach: • Acoustic and electric guitar • Chords, strumming, picking, and fingerstyle • Song-based learning (pop, rock, folk, blues, etc.) • Music theory if you’re interested — but always at your pace • Confidence-building for nervous beginners Lessons are fun, focused, and tailored to you — and I’m equally happy working with children, teens, or adults. I believe in building musical confidence, not pressure. I teach in person (location-dependent) or online via Zoom, and I’m happy to offer a free 20-minute chat to see if we’re a good fit. Let’s get you playing!

Perfect! I had my first lesson with Edd recently and was really impressed, he clearly has a wide range of experience and was quick to assess where I’m currently at with my playing. More importantly, he really seemed to understand what I’m hoping to achieve, which made the whole session feel focused and purposeful.
Edd is personable and easy to get along with, he explains things in a way that’s both clear and practical. I felt comfortable asking questions and appreciated how naturally the conversation flowed between technique, theory, and goals.
His home studio is air conditioned and well set up, which in the middle of a heatwave made for a relaxed and comfortable environment to learn in, I'm looking forward to the next lesson.- A pleasure to teach! Great company looking forward to seeing Colin on stage one day.Edward Ferguson's response :
