About Dick
Studying at Point Blank Music School taught me that music is best learnt by doing. I hold a Diploma in Music Production and have spent 5 years applying this knowledge to guitar instruction. My practice is built around acoustic technique, reading tabs, and mastering scales or modes. I work with students who need clear guidance on tuning, maintenance, and music theory.
Preparing for grade exams or lead guitar parts is a common part of my daily routine. I focus on students who want to develop their own songwriting through a hands-on approach. My past experience includes teaching 154+ individuals who all started as beginners. It is quite a journey to watch someone find their rhythm for the first time.

The best way to learn guitar is not by staring at a book but by playing over tracks built just for you. Many people struggle to practise effectively at home because they lack a musical context that makes sense for their current level. I provide custom backing tracks so you can practise soloing at home with a professional foundation. My lessons utilise my academic background in production to bridge the gap between theory and actual guitar performance.
You will move through acoustic technique and song structure while hearing how your playing sits in a real mix. Having a tailored environment makes the learning process feel natural rather than like a chore. This format ensures that you remain engaged and active during every moment of our session.
Developing your skills becomes a fun experiment rather than a static list of drills. Seeing the progress you make each week is the most enjoyable part of this process.
