About James
As an avid musician, teacher, composer and performer, I pride myself in creating, performing and instructing music to the highest standard I can as I believe music has such an important role in building knowledge and the emotional expression of individuals and especially young adults that should be able to access these resources. My musical background is very eclectic and I have been exposed to a number of different styles of music and musical learning over the years. I began learning Rock guitar and Classical guitar first and then moved to Classical piano in my teenage years and have always been inspired by my instrument tutors and realised that it was a profession I wanted to pursue.

My approach to teaching is fun and informative and I focus on making sure students are engaged in lessons and enjoying their time with me. I split lessons up into threes which usually are instrument theory, practice and technique and aural skills. I can teach grades and also songs and pieces for students who are just learning for fun.
