About Katherine
I grew up speaking German at home with my mother. In 2015 I spent several months interning at a school in Vienna, Austria. While there I taught lessons in German to students between the ages of 5 and 18. In colleg I studied literary translation. Translating German fiction and 19th century Austrian folk songs increased my appreciation for the creativity and precision of the German language.

I like to include poetry, music, and pop culture as well as more traditional grammar and vocabulary exercises in our lessons. German grammar can be a bit intimidating at first. Together we can break down confusing rules and structures and chose methods which make the most sense to you.
