About Matthew

Playing in various lineups and supporting roles I found a group to play Chicago blues in my early days.

Eventually we went our ways except myself and a friend who obsessed over Robert Johnson. Touring both in Victoria and interstate we became known as “Wilson & White”…one of Oz’s premium prewar duos.

Since then I have continued to play and educate as it is important to share your knowledge with others seeking their own musical journey.

About the lesson

Did you know that Australia once hosted dozens of harmonica clubs and events?

My mission is to share my knowledge and passion for the harmonica and show others the versatility of this instrument.

Not only am I a player and collector of harmonica knowledge and skills…I am also an educator with 20 years experience.

Lesson lengths vary to your budget and needs. Suitable for all skill levels and ages.

In my lessons we will discuss your current level, short term goals and what you’re aiming for long term. I support my students with a mixture of fun skills to build muscle memory, an understanding of different styles of playing and songs to take and practice.

If you’ve wanted to emulate the great players, jam with friends or just be able to carry your music anywhere. Contact me at LVK music.
