About Maggie
My name is Maggie. I am a proud mom of two young men. I have been teaching and facilitating in my community for over 35 years. My teaching style is to facilitate self-learning, self correcting and to help students develop critical thinking skills in English. I speak Spanish fluently because both my parents were born and raised in Spain! My favourite hobby is Tennis. I play tennis 3-4 times a week - year round! I look forward to hearing all about you and where you live!

My teaching style is light and fun and my classroom is a safe learning environment where it is okay to make mistakes. My teaching methodology is based on the 70% student output model.
I use a lot of TPR when teaching. Total Physical Response (TPR) is a language teaching method built around the coordination of speech and action. TPR is used to teach language through physical (motor) activity. TPR combines movement and language together. It is used by both the teacher and the student to increase learning during class time. The student connects the actions to language. I also have a great collection of realia (real life items) to assist in learning. I can't wait to meet you!!
