About Asghar
I am a practicing Clinical Medical Physicist with 22 years of frontline hospital experience. Over the past two decades, my work has lived at the exact intersection where core physics concepts meet life-saving medical technology.
I teach the applied physics that makes medical imaging and radiotherapy possible.
My teaching focuses on the three pillars you need to master this field: the fundamental physics concepts, the engineering of the technology, and exactly how they work together in diagnostic imaging and cancer therapy. Textbooks often isolate these elements, leaving students confused. In my sessions, we connect them. We take a basic concept like wave mechanics or particle attenuation, analyze how a CT scanner or linear accelerator utilizes that principle, and then study how it is applied directly to image human tissue or target a tumor safely.
