Have German lessons with an Education Graduate and German native teaching adults or A levels, face-to-face possible

Mandy has been teaching me German for more than three years now. When I started I could hardly make myself say anything at all in German, I was so self-conscious about making mistakes. Mandy is brilliant at giving confidence, and helping unobtrusively, and so we can have proper conversations. I get drawn in, because we're having such an interesting chat, that I don't want to be limited by vocabulary or grammar, and so I just end up learning how to say what I want! It's helped me so much with communicating with my German family-in-law.

Mandy has tutored me in German since 2019 and my experience has been excellent. She is knowledgeable, perceptive and has a knack for communicating complex grammatical concepts. She draws upon a wide range of resources in her teaching which really helps non-gifted language learners (like me) overcome the obstacles to developing confidence in reading, speaking and understanding a foreign language. Mandy has been teaching our three teenage children for more than 3 years now and all three have made remarkable progress in their spelling and overall writing. Mandy is very passionate about her work and adjusts her teaching style to each student. The homework she sets is always creative, innovative and well prepared. Mandy's lessons are always engaging and fun. She puts in a lot of effort outside of lessons when it comes to setting and marking homework. We always speak and communicate in German together, which has meant that I have made a lot of progress in the language in the time that she has taught me. She also has good knowledge of the A Level syllabus.

Mandy has a deep knowledge of German grammar and employs excellent methods to teach it. She uses a wide range of materials for teaching and testing. Her (native) spoken German is very clear and she engages her students in interesting exchanges, as well as providing creative tasks. She is outgoing and enthusiastic and it is a pleasure to be taught by her.

Mandy is a great tutor. She has taught my children German and maths. She is always kind, attentive and rigorous. I admire her patience and her thorough approach. I would definitely recommend her as a tutor.
