About Lance Vincent
I am a licensed teacher in the Philippines, and currently, I am studying for a Master of Education at Monash University as an international student.
As such, I have already taught hundreds of students Oral Communication for one and a half years. They have always rated my subject as an enjoyable experience where they felt themselves improve in their ability to express themselves in the English language. Even now, they keep in touch with me and even drop me letters on how much they appreciated my service in their journey throughout school.
Schools have always regarded me as an indispensable teacher, awarding me with Employee of the Month for integrity and service.
Aside from Oral Communication, I have also extensively taught Reading & Writing skills as well as Research skills. I have also presented research papers internationally.

My teaching methodology is a Constructivist Approach.
This approach entails that learning sessions will be student-centered, activity-filled, and engaging. Learning will come from authentic experiences that will introduce, scaffold, and assess your lessons. I will definitely not 'spoonfeed' you the principles of delivering a speech or a presentation-- I will enable you to EXPERIENCE it. That way, your learning is more powerful and meaningful.
A typical constructivist session with me would entail the following:
Phase 1. Introductory Stage - Presentation of the Lesson/s and the Goal/s
Phase 2. Activity Portion- The student engages in activities that incorporate the SKILLS necessary for the lesson.
Phase 3. Processing Phase - The teacher will begin asking the student questions that will help the student to understand the activity and the connection it makes with the lesson. The lesson proper is in this phase.
Phase 4. Guided Practice - The teacher gives an activity that challenges the student's understanding of the skills and the concepts of the lesson. The teacher will monitor the student's progress in this activity and will provide immediate feedback to quickly correct any errors.
Phase 5. Review - The teacher provides a recap of the skills and concepts as well as the goals of the lesson to assess whether these were achieved. Any questions or further clarifications are most welcome here.
