About Anouk
Graduated illustrator/visual storyteller and art teacher to be, with a great love for and knowledge of both the visual arts and art theory. You can think of subjects like art history and CKV, but also philosophy and history. Thanks to my own background and various internships and assignments, I mainly have experience with HAVO / VWO (senior) students, HBO art academy students and extracurricular education.

I like to describe my way of teaching by using the following words: (inter)action-reaction. You can take that both literally and figuratively. For example, I like to teach in an interactive way, in the digital and physical classroom, for example by asking questions and having (classroom) discussions. I also believe that an action is always followed by a response, and vice versa. As a result, you cannot understand art history without looking at general history, but neither can you understand the visual arts of today, without looking at the world around you. I continuously try to make connections and I am always looking for coherence, both in what I teach and in the way I teach it. In other words, teaching is a two-way street for me; you tell me, I respond. I tell you, you respond.
