I am a native English speaker, with American and Australian roots. Since I grew up and have lived many years outside of the United States and Australia, in India, Indonesia, Italy, and France. I am well aware of the mistakes people make when trying to speak and write in English.

My background as a native English speaker, of American and Australian roots, who grew up and has lived abroad much of his life, makes me unique in that I understand specific challenges that non-native speakers face and common mistakes they make. Each lesson is customized according to the student's needs and goals. For example, if the student is interested in learning English for academic purposes, I will tailor the lessons to speaking and writing in an academic style and tone. If the student is interested in learning colloquial English for conversation with peers and in informal settings, or for use on internet forums, I will tailor the lessons to that.
