About Dorothy
Mental math starts with recognizing patterns in arithmetic. I examine your current homework to determine where the logic gaps reside. 5 years of experience teaching teens means I know exactly how to explain algebra and probability in ways that stick.
We will work through practice problems to ensure you can replicate the process independently. Practice is essential. My goal is to make these topics intuitive rather than mechanical. You will see results quickly once the fundamentals are secure.

Teaching is not about finding the right answer but about understanding the logical path to get there. My 5 years of experience include working with teens and intermediate learners to build confidence in trigonometry and statistics. I focus on students preparing for competitive degrees in actuarial science or data science. Melbourne Uni training provided me with the tools to simplify linear algebra and number sense.
