Hey and Konnichiwa everyone!
I am Anna from Japan. I have moved to Chicago several years ago, and I am currently a graduate student majoring in clinical psychology. I have been teaching both English and Japanese for 5 years in Asia and in the United States. I have experience working with people from all nationalities and age groups and I am looking forward to meeting you here!
I am not a certified Japanese teacher, but my passion and talent seem to help many people, which is why I love this job!
Aside from teaching, I also translate books and documents that are not yet available in English.
Most of my students are adults and professionals who are looking to improve themselves and their Japanese for a variety of different reasons. My job is to really understand the student's goal and help them achieve it. For that reason, I am very flexible when it comes to a teaching style. I do not have a manual that I need to use for all students, since they are all unique in their own ways.
However, I do have a proven method that I use to help my students reach a higher level of fluency in Japanese and I would love to share it with you!
Taking a course with me will be fun and helpful not only for learning languages but also for your confidence, self-expression, and self-esteem.
