About Leann
Having previously taught in my school's peer mentoring scheme, I found immense gratification in seeing my student's steady improvement not just in their academic grades, but also in their curiosity and passion in learning. I came to understand that interest in studies could be cultivated in all students if only they had a tutor who was willing to acknowledge their potential and be a constant source of motivation for them, thus I have continuously strived to play this role well.

My lessons will primarily be personalised to the student according to his needs. If it is needed, I can go through and revise topics that he is weak at or merely need a revisit. Otherwise, lessons will heavily incorporate the use of past year papers, as the CIE curriculum has a big emphasis on exam techniques in order to excel. Thus, it is of paramount importance that the student familiarises himself with the techniques and keywords needed to navigate the trickiest questions in past papers. I will also regularly set quizzes on things the student has learned in the past to refresh their memory, and prepare flashcards and notes where needed. The length of each lesson should be at least an hour, however I am flexible. Having obtained 12A*s at IGCSEs, I know the syllabus very well and what is needed in order to excel, not to mention valuing constant communication with students and parents to work on what can be improved on my end.
