About Same'aa
I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping younger students understand things that once confused me too. It’s fulfilling to see someone go from unsure to confident, especially in subjects like English that are so important for everyday life. I know what it’s like to feel stuck or overwhelmed, and I want to offer the kind of patient, clear support I would’ve appreciated myself. I’m passionate about making learning less intimidating: breaking things down into simpler steps, encouraging questions, and helping students feel like they’re actually making progress. Teaching gives me the chance to share what I know in a way that’s useful to someone else, and that’s something I find meaningful and motivating.

I aim to make sure students understand the core ideas behind what they’re learning, not just memorise content. I usually start by identifying any gaps in knowledge or areas where the student feels less confident. From there, I plan lessons that focus on those topics while reinforcing the basics. A typical lesson lasts between 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the student's age and focus. I keep lessons straightforward—using short reading exercises, grammar tasks, and writing practice, depending on the student’s goals. I also ask questions throughout to check understanding, rather than waiting until the end. My approach to tutoring is simple and structured. Though I haven’t completed my GCSEs yet, (completing the 17th June) I’m predicted high grades and I’ve supported younger students in school with reading and writing. These lessons are for Primary and KS3 students who might want extra support outside the classroom.
