Our lessons will start off with me assessing the students' prior knowledge to see where we should start off, so no student will be left in the dark! I will use techniques that I have learned throughout my education, as well as new techniques I have learned since working in education myself, depending on what best fits the student.
A typical math lesson would start with a variety of practice problems in order to determine the student's strengths, as well as areas that need improvement. We would go from there and work on fundamentals of algebra, order of operations, multiplication, division, fractions, ratios, proportions, etc. The pace of each lesson will go according to the ability and understanding of the student. Students will not be rushed and nothing will be skipped over until the student understands the information. After each lesson, there will be a review/summary of the information that was learned that day.
ELA lessons will cover grammar, reading comprehension, essay writing, etc. based off of what the student needs are.
As your, or your student's, tutor I will be dedicated to teaching you and enhancing your knowledge to help you achieve your goals! I will use creative teaching tools such as videos, practice problems, and fun learning activities to help build your knowledge base!
